Participation

Ground rules for AI Office Hours, intake, and the Solution Library.

What this program is

  • Drop-in support, demos, and learning — every two weeks, in the open.
  • A two-way idea channel between you and the CoE — intake in, status out.
  • A growing public record of what AI is doing at Scotts.

What this program isn't

  • Not a ticket queue or help desk. The CoE doesn't fix individual app problems — see your function's IT support for that.
  • Not a way to skip governance. The AI Governance Committee still reviews new tools, vendors, and high-impact uses. Office hours can help you understand the path; it isn't the path.
  • Not a buy/build approval channel. Software requests still go through normal procurement and security review.

Norms

Bring problems, not just questions "Here's a workflow I hate" is more useful than "what can AI do?"
Speak openly We learn faster when you tell us what isn't working, not just what is.
Be honest about regulated data If your idea touches HR, financial, or consumer PII data, say so upfront. We'll route it differently.
Show up curious, leave with a follow-up Even if it's just bookmarking the changelog.
No idea is too small The 15-minute weekly task you hate is often the right starting point.

What every session looks like

Predictable structure so you know what to expect:

  1. Review the Solution Library and Ideas queue — what shipped, what's in flight, what's new in intake (~15 min)
  2. Demos — one or two short demos from CoE or fellow associates (~20 min)
  3. Latest in enterprise AI — one practical pick from the AI Brief (~5 min)
  4. Open mic / Q&A (~18 min)
  5. Topics for next session — what you want covered next (~2 min)

Office Hours — participation

  • Attendance: open to all Scotts associates. No invite needed beyond the calendar invite.
  • Notes: sessions aren't recorded as video — a Gemini Notes summary lands on the session page within 24 hours, and new Solution Library entries + Changelog updates capture what changed. The session adds to the hub — it doesn't replace it.
  • Q&A: ask anything. If we don't have an answer, we'll say so and bring one back next time.
  • Topic suggestions: see something you want covered? Raise it during Open Mic at any session.

Ideas intake — participation

  • Submit anytime via the intake form.
  • Triage runs weekly. You'll see your idea's status update on the Ideas page.
  • No idea disappears. Every submission gets one of: Triage → In Build, Self-serve guidance, Parked with reason, or Bundled into the next SuperIntelligent sweep.
  • Closing the loop: the CoE will do its best to move each idea along — capacity permitting. If yours feels stuck, flag it in office hours and we'll talk through where it is.

Solution Library — participation

  • Browse freely. Every entry is open inside Scotts.
  • Want to contribute one? If you built something with Cowork or Gemini that works, submit it as an idea and we'll help write the entry using the template.
